Flash Eurobarometer 378 (The Experience of Traineeships in the EU)

Experiences with traineeships.<br>Topics: personal experiences with traineeships, apprenticeships, or student jobs; number of traineeships in total, after the end of studies, abroad; reasons for not having had a traineeship abroad; benefits of the traineeship abroad; time and duration of last traineeship; size of host company or organization; approval of the following statements regarding the last traineeship: learned professionally useful things, helpful to find a regular job, apart from pay equivalent working conditions to those of regular employees, support from a mentor; availability of the following issues regarding the last traineeship: took at least partly place in another EU country, written agreement or contract, health and accident insurance, offer of an employment contract at the end of the traineeship, offer to renew or extend the traineeship, details on the pay in the advertisement, certificate or letter of reference at the end of the traineeship, financial compensation, sufficiency of financial compensation to cover basic living costs; respondents who completed more than one traineeship were asked the aforementioned questions with few exceptions.

Demography: age; sex; graduated from university; nationality; age at end of education; occupation; professional position; region; type of community; own a mobile phone and fixed (landline) phone; household composition and household size.

Additionally coded was: respondent ID; type of phone line; nation group; weighting factor.
