Comparative analysis of 15 MOOC platforms

This dataset contains the results of a comparative analysis of 15 MOOC platforms, including seven international and eight Ukrainian platforms. The analysis was conducted at three levels: homepage, course catalogue, and individual course. The analysis covers eight dimensions of platform and course organisation: Page Structure (Blocks), Course Overview, Directory Structure, Course Listings in the Catalogue, Course Organisation, Types of Materials, Course Duration, and Module / Week / Topic Structure. The dataset documents the structural characteristics and design solutions identified across the platforms, including a comparison of international and Ukrainian platforms to highlight similarities and differences in their approaches. The data is contained in an .xlsx file: a separate worksheet has been created for each platform, analysing the following parameters: Page Structure (Blocks), Course Overview, Directory Structure, Course Listings in the Catalogue, Course Organisation, Types of Materials, Course Duration, and Module / Week / Topic Structure. The file also contains a worksheet summarising the data across all platforms (Criteria Summary), a matrix of patterns by platform (Matrix) and a comparative analysis of international and Ukrainian platforms (Comparison). The cut-off date for the analysis is 6 August 2026.
