This data set consists of areas permitted for irrigation, storage, evaporation, and disposal of treated sewage effluent in the Upper Carson River Basin, California and Nevada. It was compiled at 1:24,000-scale from maps, figures, and verbal and written communication provided by permitting agencies, Nevada Department of Environmental Protection (NDEP), public utility districts, and permitees. This data set contains the permitted area not the actual area where effluent is applied to the land.
