The concentration is on stimulators rather than cleaning aids, including demonstrations of the balsa wood wedge, perio-aid, and rubber tip stimulator. No mention is made of toothbrushes, floss or application of fluoride on exposed root surfaces. Despite this deficiency, the program is accurate and effective and is therefore, recommended for dental, pharmaceutical and allied health students.
