Photographic record of late medieval habitation sites in County Tyrone and County Armagh

The images within this dataset highlight the potential key habitation sites evident within a late medieval Gaelic landscape. From the castle site of the Ó Neill, the original tower house replaced by a plantation construction, to earthworks and ringforts, to crannogs. Though the latter sites are commonly associated with the Early Christian period, they may be the key to understanding the habitation patterns of late medieval Gaelic society in Ulster.
