Exon-capture of fishes in the family Gobiidae

The goal of the study was to obtain genomic sequence data for many single-copy protein-coding genes for species within the family Gobiidae. The family Gobiidae is the most diverse family within the Gobioidei, and this diversity makes gobies ideal subjects for studies of ecology and evolution. However, this family has remained the most poorly-resolved within the Gobioidei, and the ability to study such topics will remain limited until the relationships within the family have been resolved. The large number of sequences allow for the creation of a high-resolution phylogeny of the family Gobiidae.
