Candida boidinii CICC#33029 is capable of utilizing methanol as its sole carbon source, presenting potential for development into a cell factory for converting methanol to high-value compounds. The absence of genomic information and efficient genetic engineering tools has hindered the practical application of Candida boidinii. The objective of this study is to construct a genomic draft of the Candida boidinii CICC#33029 strain, thereby establishing a basis for subsequent genetic manipulations within this organism.
