The circulating cooling water accounts for a significant portion of industrial water usage. Biofouling is a significant issue in industrail cooling tower. UF membrane was used to remove the microorganisms in the cooling water. The high-throughput Illumina sequencing of 16S rRNA genes was used to rebealed the major microorganisms of the biofilm on the membrane surface.
