The scores for 1972-73 show, as in previous years, an improvement in forecasts on a national level by each succeeding echelon (NMC, WSFO, WSO). In comparisons with NMC, WSFOs improved and WSOs improved substantially in forecasting precipitation over last year. There was little change in forecasts of temperatures.
