Organization Studies in Regional Governance: Research Materials on Performative Dysfunction in the Tokaj Wine Region (2023–2025)

This dataset accompanies the study “Performative Dysfunction in Regional Economic Self-Governance” and provides all research materials created between 2023 and 2025 in the Tokaj Wine Region (Hungary). The study is rooted in organization theory, particularly democratic performativity and institutional critique, and explores how formally representative structures fail to articulate complex field dynamics. The dataset includes: Council Meeting Observation (2023–2024)– Discourse-based coding matrix based on empirical records from all regional council meetings. SANRA-Based Literature Synthesis– Dual review of 21 organization theory works and 28 pedagogical sources; six theoretical indicators are defined to diagnose performative dysfunction. Regional Questionnaire (2025)– Hidden-theme survey with an exceptionally high response rate (N=67), measuring trust, representation, and strategic discourse in self-governance. The dataset also includes a pedagogical framework for potential interventions, based on organizational learning theory and participatory education models. It allows the conceptual diagnosis to support practical developmental strategies. All data are ethically processed.
