NRS-20975 | Richmond Valley Topographical Survey Field Books

This series of field books was created as part of an Unemployment Relief Council led project which undertook surveys within the Richmond Valley area, spanning from Casino in the east to Tenterfield in the west and north to the Queensland border. The primary purpose of this project was to work on improvements to existing infrastructure, particularly roads and bridges. Aneroid Level field books in this series contain the following information: Field Book number Purpose of survey Dates of survey Portion or allotment and section number; parish and county; municipality or shire; city, town or village Aneroid marks, barograph plots, time of survey, temperatures recorded in the field and at the camp lengths as measured, corrections for slope, temperature and lengths deduced The series is arranged alphanumeric. All books have been denoted with an alphanumeric record number beginning with "RVTS" letter prefix and followed by a number.

本系列野外记录本（field books）系由失业救济委员会（Unemployment Relief Council）主导的项目所创制，该项目在里士满谷（Richmond Valley）区域实施勘测作业，勘测范围东起卡西诺（Casino）、西至滕特菲尔德（Tenterfield），北抵昆士兰州边界。

本系列按字母数字顺序编排。所有记录本均配有以"RVTS"为前缀、后续接数字的字母数字型记录编号。
