The aim of this study was to identify differences in gene expression and biological processes between pulpitis tissue and healthy tissue. Clinical pulp tissue samples were obtained from dental specimens of patients aged 18-35 years, all of whom had no major systemic or periodontal disease. Normal pulp tissue (n=3) is taken from caries free third molars or premolars that were removed for impacted, orthodontic, or other therapeutic reasons. Inflammatory pulp tissue (n=3) was obtained from impacted third molar with odontogenic pulpitis. All patients were diagnosed with incurable pulpitis. fastqc software was used to evaluate the quality of the original sequencing data, STAR software was used to compare the original data to the reference genome (GRCh38, the latest human reference genome version), and cuffdiff software was used to calculate the expression level of each sample and annotate the genes.
