资源简介:
Site 5PE232 and the Brown Palace site were excavated as part of the Saint Charles River Project. The sites are located on the canyon rim of the Saint Charles River approximately 24 miles southeast of Pueblo, Colorado. Three samples from hearth contexts at 5PE232 were submitted for macrofloral analysis, and Pinus charcoal from one of the hearths was submitted for AMS radiocarbon dating. Two samples from a storage/cache feature at the Brown Palace site were submitted for pollen, macrofloral, and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis. Pollen and macrofloral analyses are used to provide information concerning plant resources utilized at the sites, while FTIR analysis examines residues and will be used to provide information on both plant and animal resources used at the Brown Palace Site.
