SOHO/ERNE GDML model

This archive contains the GDML (Geometry Description Markup Language, DOI: 10.1109/TNS.2006.881062) model for the ERNE instrument (DOI: 10.1007/BF00733438) onboard SOHO (DOI: 10.1007/BF00733425), which has been updated within the EU Horizon project SPEARHEAD. The GDML file is used to simulate the instrument response using Geant4 (DOI: 10.1016/S0168-9002(03)01368-8). For more details, see SPEARHEAD Deliverable 2.1: "Geant4 models, part I" (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18314030). This GDML model is the same as already included in the SPEARHEAD G4VM (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.15772294), a pre-configured virtual machine that allows to directly access the instrument model.
