"On October 9, 2007, Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted a cultural resources survey
of the Levesque Tract in Charleston County, South Carolina. This survey was conducted for
Mr. Steven Levesque in compliance with the requests of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
and the South Carolina Department of Archives and History (SCDAH), prior to the construction of a
proposed dock on the southern edge of the tract. To assess the potential for the undertaking to affect
historic properties, we conducted an archaeological survey of the entire tract, including an inspection
of the wetland areas bordering the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW). We followed the South
Carolina Standards and Guidelines for Archaeological Investigations established by the State
Historic Preservation Office (SCDAH 2005). ..."
