Synchrotron Data of Hu_14740-July-2019 (M14740)_As oxidation states in sphalerite

This dataset is generated from Research + Postdoc project on biogenic haloes of sea-floor ore forming processes, measuring As oxidation states in As-bearing sphalerite from hydrothermal chimneys. The sphalerite is encrusted by biogenic filaments which may have been fuelled by microbial metabolism of As from sphalerite. The dataset provides new insights into microbial behaviours in hydrothermal vents and novel bio-signatures that could be used to trace early life.
