Code and Data for Impact of Hydropower Availability on Resource Adequacy of the United States Western Interconnection

This dataset contains all supporting materials for the analysis presented in the manuscript titled “Impact of Hydropower Availability on Resource Adequacy of the United States Western Interconnection.” It includes model outputs, processed datasets, and figure-ready data derived from the ReEDS model. The zipped archive is organized into the following three main folders: 1. Analysis_figures This folder contains all data and scripts used to generate the figures presented in the manuscript. Includes datasets used for plotting and shapefiles for maps Figure-specific data files (e.g., CSVs) Scripts or notebooks used for visualization 2. ResourceAdequacy_system_data This folder provides data used in the resource adequacy analysis. Hydropower availability scenarios Capacity and generation data Network interconnection data PRAS model outputs 3. ReEDS_outputs This folder contains outputs generated from the ReEDS model simulations (ReEDS model can be found at https://github.com/NatLabRockies/ReEDS-2.0.git).
