collecting the collection of soil samples from these unique habitats. Innovative physical and chemical pre-treatment methods were employed to isolate rare genera of Actinomycetes selectively. The confirmation of strain identity was achieved through Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) and subsequent bioinformatic analysis.The research methodology further involves primary and secondary screening of the isolated strains to assess their antibacterial activity against selected human pathogens. The ethyl acetate extract, obtained from promising strains, will undergo detailed evaluation, including determining Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Biofilm Inhibitory Concentration (MBIC). Advanced microscopy techniques will be utilized to investigate the mode of action of the extract on pathogens, providing insights into its potential mechanisms.This research addresses the global challenge of antibiotic resistance by isolating novel antibiotics from rare Actinomycetes in the Western Ghats. It contributes to microbial diversity knowledge, enhances taxonomic classification through Whole Genome Sequencing, and offers practical solutions for combating multidrug-resistant bacteria. The project's significance extends to potential drug development, utilizing advanced techniques. Emphasizing environmental conservation, especially in the unique Western Ghats habitats, underscores the interconnectedness of ecological health and human well-being. Overall, this research provides vital insights, offering solutions in the battle against antibiotic resistance with broader implications for global health and environmental stewardship.
