Santuari costieri e rotte di navigazione tra Puglia, Isole Ionie ed Epiro

Topic of the text is the study of the shipping lanes, before the ancient Romans, through the Strait of Otranto, from the archaic age to the Hellenistic age, using also the recent archaeological and epigraphic data. The point of view aims to consider the many ports, landings and coastal sanctuaries along the routes, studying not the individual sub-regions, but the macroarea that includes the Gulf of Taranto, the Iapigian Promontory, Cape Palascìa, Gargano, Karaburun Peninsula, Ionian Islands and the Strait of Corfu. These single sub-regions have many affinities, so we can considering the shipping lanes, before the ancient Romans, like cabotage routes and crossing routes along a macro-region between the most southern area of the Balkan Peninsula and the Apennine Peninsula.
