Export volume of palm oil from Malaysia to the EU 2013-2022

In 2022, Malaysia exported around 1.23 million metric tons of palm oil to the European Union (EU). Despite a decrease from the previous year, the EU remained Malaysia's third-largest export market for palm oil, after India and China. However, plans by the European Commission to phase out the use of palm oil in transport fuel by 2030 threatens to reduce the size of this market for Malaysian palm oil in the future.
