Provided is a nucleotide sequence and application thereof in increasing the secretion-type glandular trichome density of a plant， relating to the technical field of plant genetic engineering. The nucleotide sequence is selected from the following sequences: 1) the nucleotide sequence shown in any one of SEQ ID Nos: 1， 3， and 5; 2) the nucleotide sequence derived by substituting， deleting， or adding one or several nucleotides from the nucleotide sequence shown in any one of SEQ ID Nos: 1， 3， and 5; and 3) the nucleotide sequence that possesses at least 80% homology with any one of SEQ ID Nos: 1， 3， and 5. By transferring any one of the foregoing nucleotide sequences into a plant body in a genetic engineering means， the secretion-type glandular trichome density of the plant can be significantly improved， the potential of the nucleotide sequence in insect resistance and specific metabolite production is fully exerted， and the nucleotide sequence has extremely high practical application value.
