Deforestation events (≥ 20 ha) in northern Australia from 2014 to 2021

Deforestation events (≥ 20 ha) generated from SLATS (Queensland Government generated woody vegetation loss maps) in Queensland, from 2014/2015 to 2019/2020 and deforestation events (≥ 20 ha) generated from the Australian government's NCAS dataset in the Northern Territory and Western Australia, from 2015 to 2021. All NCAS deforestation events were further validated using high resolution satellite imagery. Deforestation events were then investigated to see if they were relevant to a particular law, and if so, had they been assessed under that law, were they compliant under an explicit exemption of that law or were they potentially non-compliant.
