Herbert River Nephelometer Profiles at the end of Jetty (J7) 18 February 2004

The objective of the research reported in this thesis was to develop a technique to monitor the dynamics of sediments and nutrients entering the coastal ocean with river plumes associated with high intensity low frequency events (e.g. floods), using ocean colour remote sensing. The data collected included nephelometer profiles at the Jetty at station J7, together with Acoustic Doppler Current Meter Profiles (ADCP).

本学位论文所述研究的目标，是开发一种利用海洋色遥感（Ocean Colour Remote Sensing）技术的方法，用以监测伴随高强度低频事件（如洪水）的河流羽状流所携带的沉积物与营养盐向近岸海域输运的动态过程。本次采集的数据集包含J7站位码头处的浊度计（nephelometer）剖面数据，以及声学多普勒流速剖面仪（Acoustic Doppler Current Meter Profiles，ADCP）剖面数据。
