Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common reproductive endocrine disease among women of fertile age, autophagic disorder, insulin resistance, oxidative stress, and inflammatory might be key etiological components of PCOS. Zishen Qingre Lishi Huayu Recipe (ZQLHR) is a traditional Chinese medicine, and its efficacy in treating PCOS has been proved in many clinical trials, but its mechanism is still unclear. Here, we studied the growth of hGCs and the transcriptome of hGCs in PCOS patients treated with or without ZQLHR (ZQLHR group or control group by transcriptomic. Six libraries (ZQLHR-1, ZQLHR-2, ZQLHR-3 in the ZQLHR group, and Control-1, Control-2, Control-3 in Control group) for RNA sequence were constructed in this experiment.We found that the positive effects of ZQLHR on PCOS may be involved pathways and genes related to autophagy, steroidogenesis, oxidative stress-related longevity, and inflammation in hGCs. We provided scientific basis for the clinical application of ZQLHR in the treatment of PCOS, emphasized the importance of some genes which have been reported to play a role in the pathogenesis or treatment mechanism of PCOS from the perspective of disease treatment, and identified some new genes and signaling pathways may play a important role in the treatment of PCOS.
