Multibeam Survey of Rankin Bank and Glomar Shoals, Western Australia (WEL - Glomar/Rankin)

Multibeam swath mapping was undertaken by Fugro Spatial (Perth) via a series of acoustic transects to establish the general shape of Rankin Bank and Glomar Shoal and determine the extreme boundaries. Digital multibeam acoustics have provided bathymetry and geomorphology data to assist future survey planning. The data was post-processed and QA'd by Fugro Spatial (Perth) before being supplied to AIMS for further processing and analysis.

多波束条带测深（Multibeam swath mapping）作业由富科空间（珀斯分公司）（Fugro Spatial (Perth)）通过一系列声学测线（acoustic transects）开展，旨在探明兰金滩（Rankin Bank）与格洛马尔浅滩（Glomar Shoal）的整体形态，并确定其极限边界。数字多波束声学系统采集得到水深地形（bathymetry）与海底地貌（geomorphology）数据，可辅助后续勘测规划工作。上述数据经富科空间（珀斯分公司）完成后处理与质量审核（Quality Assurance, QA）后，被交付至澳大利亚海洋科学研究所（Australian Institute of Marine Science, AIMS），以开展进一步的处理与分析工作。
