Stationary noise levels (U.1) of 69 performance cars from the Dutch RDW open register

Type-approval stationary sound level (field U.1 of the European registration certificate, in dB(A)), engine speed of the stationary test (U.2, min-1) and drive-by sound level (U.3, dB(A)) of 69 petrol performance cars from 11 makes (Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, Toyota, Honda, Ford, Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin), counted across 37,917 cars registered in the Netherlands. Source: open register of the Netherlands Vehicle Authority (RDW Open Data, datasets m9d7-ebf2 and 8ys7-d773, public domain), extracted on 2026-10-31 and 2026-11-01. Vehicles were assigned to a model by trade name, root of the EU type-approval number and net power; for each model the most common value of each field is given with its count, the number of vehicles with the field filled in, and any other value carried by at least 5% of the vehicles. Main results: the most common U.1 value ranges from 74 dB(A) (Porsche Macan 2.0) to 115 dB(A) (Ferrari 812 Competizione), median 92 dB(A); the drive-by value U.3 of the same models stays between 68 and 74 dB(A); 43 of the 69 models carry more than one U.1 value depending on version.
