Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) were isolated from organic plant-based products, with a prevalence rate of 50%. In order to accurately identify them at strain level, a search of genomic markers (SNP/ InDel) specific to biopesticide Bt strains approved in Europe was carried out leading to the identification of robust markers, enabling 87% of the Bt isolated in the present study to be identified.
