High Grade Serous Carcinoma precursor lesion digital slide images (TP53-Precursor-Lesions)

This project is a retrospective study of 242 women over the age of 50 years old who had their fallopian tubes removed during a benign gynecologic procedure. 70 subjects had used an oral contraceptive pill (OCP) for at least 5 years and 172 had no indication of OCP use. Images of p53 signatures and precursor lesions of high grade serous cancer (HGSC), the most lethal gynecological cancer, called serous tubal intraepithelial lesions (STIL) and serous tubal intraepithelial carcinoma (STIC) are provided. These images provide a resource that highlights p53 signatures of varying sizes within the fallopian tubes of OCP users and non-users.
