KYAPED HydroEnforced Breaklines Phase 2 (2018 - 2024)

Kentucky Hydro-enforced Breaklines are used to “hydro-flatten” DEMs in Kentucky. Hydro-flattening is predominantly accomplished through the use of breaklines, and while this method is considered standard, Hydro Flattened breaklines are used to provide consistent elevations to a bare earth surface model. This allows the user to create ESRI Raster DEM, Triangular Irregular Networks and fully Classified LiDAR LAS files. Other techniques may exist to achieve similar results.
