Women Entrepreneurs in Rural Areas: Follow-up Interviews 2016

The dataset consists of interviews with female entrepreneurs in the North Karelia and Pirkanmaa regions in Finland. The interviews are follow-ups to interviews conducted in 2001-2002 and 2009 (FSD2508 Women Entrepreneurs in Rural Areas 2001-2009). Of the 18 individuals who took part in the previous interview round, 11 participated in the follow-up interviews. The interviews charted the interviewees' business activities as women in rural areas, the problems and benefits of rural entrepreneurship, the interviewees' future plans, and the women's experiences of combining family life and entrepreneurship. The follow-up interviews focused on what had happened in the lives of the interviewees since the previous round of interviews. Background information included the interviewee's industry of employment, region of residence, and the date of the interview. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The dataset is only available in Finnish.
