Share of community health information networks Japan 2019, by main cooperation

According to a survey conducted in March 2019, close to 67 percent of community health information networks were used for hospital to clinic or hospital to hospital cooperation. Around 28 percent were utilized for cooperation related to home medical care or nursing care. The community health information network is a system in which medical information of patients can be shared within the regions. The Japanese government has been promoting the system to improve the comprehensive medical care offered in local areas.
