Therefore, the position of the feature instance will be within 0.5mm at map scale for 90% of the well-defined points. That is, 1:500 = 0.25m, 1:2000 = 1m, 1:4000 = 2m, 1:25000 = 12.5m, 1:50000 = 25m and 1:100000 = 50m. The NSW Basemap Hybrid theme provides a seamless\nstate-wide map of roads, features of interest, localities, hydrology,\nlandcover, property boundaries, cultural and elevation data. It provides a\nminimal coloured basemap highlighting water and landcover features and includes\nmany aspects of the topographic theme web map. Web service uses/ fitness for purpose:This web map service allows users to easily integrate the NSW Basemap into spatial platforms and applications and provides a combined view of NSW Foundation Spatial Data. It is Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) compliant and suitable for consumption by common GIS platforms. The web map is regularly updated and will show new information captured or sourced by DCS Spatial Services.
