Transcriptional profiling of in vitro cultured mouse hepatocytes and hepatocyte-derived biliary cells demonstrated that in vitro cultured cells recapitulates the major transcriptional features of in vivo biliary cells and hepatocytes. Mouse hepatocytes were isolated from mouse liver samples and then cultured in vitro. Transcripts from in vitro cultured hepatocytes and hepatocyte-derived biliary cells were then sequenced for transcriptional profiling.
