National Recreational Fishing Survey

A national telephone/diary survey was conducted in 2000 and 2001. This will provide an overall estimate of the recreational effort and catch for all species (including finfish and invertebrates) for large areas of the state. It will enable this information for the whole state to be collected in a 12-month period rather than five or more years in the case of rotating creel surveys.The data collection phase of the project was completed; further analyses to provide assessments at the bioregional level are currently underway.Time: completion Dec 2004

本研究于2000年与2001年开展了一项全国性电话/日记调查，可对该州大范围海域内所有物种（包括鳍鱼（finfish）与无脊椎动物（invertebrates））的休闲捕捞努力量（recreational effort）及渔获量进行整体估算。相较于需耗时五年及以上的轮换式渔获调查（rotating creel surveys），本调查可在12个月内完成全州范围的相关信息采集。本项目的数据采集阶段已全部完成，目前正开展针对生物区域（bioregional）层面的评估分析工作。完成时间：2004年12月。
