Recycling of IT equipment

For several years, Infrabel has been ensuring that its information technology and telecommunications devices that no longer meet internal standards are given a second life. With this in mind and to reduce our waste production, our appliances are reused, refurbished or recycled.Reuse and repair are the preferred options for the rapid reintroduction of appliances on the market: in Belgium (social shops, circular economy circuits, etc.) but also abroad (schools in disadvantaged neighbourhoods, etc.).If reuse or repair is not possible, it is the recycling path that is followed through approved channels, to ensure maximum reuse of raw materials and minimise our impact on nature.
