Ecological Characteristics of Vascular Plants of the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Regions (Ukraine): Ellenberg, Didukh, Edaphic, and Topographic Moisture Indicators

he dataset contains ecological characteristics of 1,959 vascular plant species of the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine. The file includes four worksheets: data, data_new, Legend, and Legend_new. The worksheet data contains traditional ecological information on plant species, including established indicator values and classifications. The worksheet data_new contains newly derived ecological indicator values, including edaphic and topographic moisture scales. The worksheets Legend and Legend_new provide explanations of the variables, codes, and indicator scales used in the corresponding data tables. The dataset is intended for phytoindication, vegetation analysis, ecological modelling, habitat assessment, and studies of plant responses to moisture conditions in southeastern Ukraine.
