Raw metagenomes from subsamples of Collembola from soil core sampling

Raw metagenomic data from Collembola specimens picked from soil core samples. Four soil cores (5 x 5 cm) were taken on 150 grassland sites. Cores were extracted with a MacFadyen device into >98% pure ethanol and extracts were pooled for each site. Collembola were seperated from other extracted material. One random half of each sample was taken for metagenomic DNA extraction and Illumina sequencing.
