A dataset of historical tweets, collected using twarc2 to access the Twitter API v2 for Academic Research. The timeframe for the study was 2016-01-01 -- 2020-12-31 (five full years).
The dataset consists of 24 subsets packaged as bzip compressed txt files with one tweet ID per line. Full tweet objects can be retrieved by feeding uncompressed txt files into the <a href="https://github.com/DocNow/hydrator">DocNow/hydrator</a>, or programmatically with <a href="https://github.com/DocNow/twarc">twarc</a>.
