RNAseq analysis highlights significant transcriptional changes within the livers of patients with alcoholic hepatitis.

Alcoholic hepatitis (AH) is frequently a severe clinical condition associated with high short-term mortality. This study was meant to serve as a resource for AH investigators in an effort to increase understanding of this disease and treatment research (NIH Project # 5R24AA025017). Overall design: Explanted livers from patients with acute alcoholic hepatits were sampled by RNAseq, and relative gene abundance was compared to samples derived from donor livers.
