Yellowstone Lake straddles one of the largest active volcanoes on Earth, and lies directly ontop of the current hotspot where significant seismic activity, heat flux, and hydrothermal dischargecreate dynamic interactions among geophysical, geochemical and microbiological processes. This project reports the metagenomic sequencing of six samples obtained in 2016 and 2017. PI William Inskeep and Luke McKay, Montana State University.
