Barro Colorado Island, AVA tower. Wind speed, electronic sensor, interval max/min/avg Established in Mar, 2011 as part of the ForestGEO Tropical Ecology, Assessment and Monitoring (TEAM) project. The original tower was Located near the center of the island at the north west corner of the 50ha plot (9.1568°, -79.8486°). In 2018 this tower was struck by a tree fall and rendered unusable. In Feb. 2019 a new 45m tower was build close by (9.1568°, -79.8486°).本数据集对应巴罗科罗拉多岛（Barro Colorado Island）的AVA气象塔，数据内容为电子传感器采集的风速信息，包含各采样间隔下的最大、最小及平均风速。该数据集于2011年3月建立，作为森林地理（ForestGEO）热带生态评估与监测（TEAM）项目的组成部分。初始塔台位于该岛中心附近的50公顷样地西北角，地理坐标为9.1568°，-79.8486°。2018年，该塔台因被树木倒伏撞击而损毁，无法继续使用。2019年2月，在原址附近新建了一座高度为45米的新塔台，地理坐标仍为9.1568°，-79.8486°。
