parlScot: a dataset of 1.8 million spoken contributions from the Scottish Parliament 1999-2021

parlScot contains full-text vectors for all 1.8 million spoken contributions for the Scottish Parliament (up to 2021/02/03), including both speeches in parliament and in committees. Meta-data included in the main datasets include party, gender, constituency and region. Accompanying this is three additional files providing daily coverage of positions held by MSPs, membership of committees and cross-party groups. A variable 'wikidataid' is also provided for easy integration with the Comparative Legislators Database. Additionally, \"Corp_Holyrood_V2.rds\", provides a version compatible with Rauh & Schwalbach \"ParlSpeech V2\" dataset.
