Palaeoecological significance of the “wolf event” as revealed by skull ecometrics of the canid guilds

Raw data inclusive of centroid size, shape coordinates, principal component scores for the skulls of n=36 canid taxa and bioclimatic variables for 13 canid guilds are in the "Meloro_Sansalone_GmmData.xlsx".
The file "RPhyloCanid_36_shape.nts" is an R file suitable for the package geomorph that includes canid shape variables for 36 canid taxa. Phylogeny of the 36 taxa is in nexus format ("Canidae_36Guild_Extra.nex") and figured as pdf file ("Meloro_Sansalone_36Phylogeny_Description.pdf") while the file "13Guid_Average.NTS" includes the shape coordinates for the 13 canid guilds analysed.
