Trend Questions Corona (Week 41/2020)

On behalf of the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government, the opinion research institute forsa has regularly conducted representative population surveys on the subject of the ´Corona crisis´ (COVID-19) from calendar week 12/2020. The individual question areas were adapted according to the survey period.

Topics: Concerns regarding infection with the corona virus (self and family members or friends); concerns about infecting other people yourself; other concerns related to the corona virus (open question); assessment of current policy measures to contain the corona virus (appropriate, go too far or do not go far enough); assessment of the current policy response to the currently changing infection figures (reacts just right, too slowly or too hastily); expectation of further increasing case numbers in the autumn and winter months; expectations regarding the restriction of public life as infection numbers rise (similarly restricted as in spring, less restricted or even more restricted than in spring); credibility of the information provided by the federal government on the Corona crisis; preferences regarding the federal government´s behaviour in the Corona crisis (warn more clearly than before about the dangers of the virus, reassure more strongly and spread more confidence, or continue to act as before); Corona warning app installed and used on smartphone in the last few weeks, app installed but deleted in the meantime or never installed; if Corona warning app installed and still used: Suspected reasons why some users do not report their positive test result to the Corona warning app (open question); probability that the respondent himself will report a positive test result to the Corona Warning App.

Demography: sex; age (grouped); employment; education; net household income (grouped); party preference in the next federal election; voting behaviour in the last federal election.
