资源简介:
The X-ray fluorescence (XRF) core scanning data presented here was obtained from sediment cores collected during IODP Expedition 385 in the Guaymas Basin, Gulf of California. Measurements were performed using a third-generation energy-dispersive Avaatech XRF core scanner (target X-ray tube: Rh) at the JRSO XRF Facility at the Gulf Coast Repository of Texas A&M University.XRF scans were conducted at three different voltages: 10 kV (0.160 mA, no filter) for light elements (Al, Si, S, K, Ca, Ti, Mn, Fe), 30 kV (500 µA, Pd-thick filter) for mid-weight elements (Br, Rb, Sr, Zr), and 50 kV (200 µA, Cu-thick filter) for heavy elements (Ba, Pb). Times were set at 10 seconds per point for 10 kV and 20 seconds per point for both 30 kV and 50 kV scans. Data was collected at a resolution of 5 cm along the split-cores.
