"BER Performance of Vortex Beam in Slant Biological Blood Channel"

"The scattering and refraction effects in rabbit blood can cause wavefront distortion and phase fluctuations of the transmitted vortex beam, thereby interfering with the performance of biological optical communication and increasing the bit error rate (BER). Therefore, the BER model for vortex beams in the slant rabbit blood channel is established based on the power spectrum of the refractive index variation of rabbit blood. In addition, the BER of transmitted Laguerre-Gaussian beams in the slant rabbit blood channel is experimentally tested. The experimental results reveal that an appropriate rabbit blood temperature can reduce the trend of BER increasing with the decrease of the dilution ratio of rabbit blood and pure water. Different zenith angles and rabbit blood temperatures will affect the trend of BER increasing with the decrease of laser power. The appropriate zenith angle can reduce the interference of different temperatures on the BER. Different rabbit blood temperatures and zenith angles can suppress the increase of BER caused by large orbital angular momentum. The experimental results of this paper can provide theoretical basis and experimental data for the realization of high precision and performance in vitro biological optical detection system."
