HIV-1 RNA was extracted from viral particles and analyzed by RiboMethSeq. Analysis was performed for WT HIV-1 RNA, corresponding in vitro transcripts, HIV-1 RNA produced in the cells with siRNA antiFTSJJ3 and anti-TRBP and for CRISPR/Cas9 deleted FTSJ3. Results show the existence of internal methylation sites in HIV-1 RNA, many of these sites are FTSJ3-dependent
