This submission presents the reference genome sequence that underpins the development of a high-density 50K single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) array for Chinese Fir (Cunninghamia lanceolata). The genome encompasses all chromosomal regions harboring the carefully curated set of 50,000 SNP loci distributed across chromosomes 1-11. This reference serves as the essential foundation for the design and validation of the corresponding liquid-phase capture genotyping assay. The resulting array is a cost-effective and flexible tool intended to empower genomic studies in Chinese Fir, including genome-wide association studies (GWAS), kinship analysis, genetic parameter estimation, and genomic selection breeding, thereby accelerating the transition from phenotypic to genotypic selection in tree improvement programs.
