Callinectes sapidus Genome sequencing and assembly. Callinectes sapidus

A chromosome-scale draft genome of the culturally and economically important blue crab Callinectes sapidus was assembled from Illumina and PacBio sequence combined with chromosome contact sequencing. The 50 large scaffolds covered 810 Mb with 190 Mb of unplaced sequence and overall repeat content of 410 Mb. Of 50 chromosome-scale large scaffolds, 41 had strong nucleotide and protein-coding matches to Portunus trituberculatus, the only other available chromosome-scale crab assembly.
