Rehabilitation of wetlands and waterways in the Lower Burdekin Stage 1

Stage 1 of the project will preserve and rehabilitate sections of Plantation Creek, Sheep Station Creek and Barratta Creek Catchment in the Lower Burdekin adjacent to Ramsar listed wetlands and the Great Barrier Reef. Activities will include native seed collecting and plant propagation, weed control, revegetation, site establishment and maintenance.

本项目第一阶段将对毗邻列入拉姆萨尔公约名录的湿地（Ramsar listed wetlands）与大堡礁（Great Barrier Reef）的下伯德金地区内的种植园溪（Plantation Creek）、绵羊站溪（Sheep Station Creek）及巴拉塔溪集水区（Barratta Creek Catchment）的河段开展保护与修复工作。相关作业涵盖原生本地种子采集与植物繁育、杂草防控、植被恢复、场地营建与维护。
